Nations can’t make progress without educating women; Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Noor Jehan
Literacy Society, Swabi University celebrated women’s day in University of Swabi. The function was attended not only by students and faculty members but also by Principals of Affiliated Colleges and Press Media. A poetry session was also held in which local poets of Swabi shared their poems regarding International women’s day. A book launch of emerging women writer of the Soil Miss Kulsoom Zaidwi was held. Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Noor Jehan in her concluding speech stressed the importance of education for women. She urged that girls should be encouraged to pursue their education. She appreciated the organizers for their successful event. Professor Dr. Abad khan, the chief organizer of the event and Secretary of Literary Society was applauded by Vice Chancellor. At the end of the programme a poster competition on the theme of education of women was held. Prizes were distributed among the position holders.
