Enhancing Teaching Learning Processes by using Internet of Things
Naeem Ullah Department of Computer Science, University of Swabi, Pakistan.
Abstract: The core objective of this paper is to present the concept of Internet of Things (IoT) in Information Technology and Communications (IT & C). The effect of Internet of Things has been revolutionary in all field of life and significant in education. New technologies in the context of education are used to improve the teaching learning processes. IoT is also one of those technologies which facilitate the educators to communicate with the learners through suitable IoT enabled applications. A study is conducted to introduce the capacity of IoT in teaching and learning process. Although IoT is becoming more popular in the context of education but still some clarification is required that how IoT can be used for education purposes. The focus of this paper is to investigate the recent applications of IoT in the field of education and to expose the benefits and accompanied issues of those applications.
DevOps’ Culture Challenges Model (DC2M)
Muhammad Shoaib Khan1 , Abdul Wahid Khan2 Department of Computer Science, University of Science and Technology Bannu, Pakistan
Abstract DevOps is a set of practices and culture values that reduce the barriers and enhance the collaboration between development team and IT operations. DevOps is a roadmap for business organizations to achieve their business goals. Despite adoption of DevOps and its infrastructure, many organizations faced several challenges which affecting software process. The main objective of our research project is to develop DevOps’ Culture Challenges Model (DC2M) to overcome the most critical challenge “culture” between the development professionals and operation professionals. In this research, we tackle this challenge by means of a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), Empirical Study (ES) and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Data will be collect by SLR and validated by ES and then applying AHP methodology that gives alternate solutions of issues. Finally we will develop a model which provides better understanding the culture issues. This model will explain the specific role and relationship among every personal in DevOps organization. With this model we will show that culture is the core element in the successful adoption of DevO
Empirical Study of Intelligence Techniques for Cardio Vascular Disease
Nisha Mary, Bilal Khan, Qaiser Ishfaq, Muhammad Zakir Khan City University of Science and Information Technology
Abstract: Human life is in troubles due to different types of disease they are facing on daily basis. Mostly, the cardio vascular diseases that is very common in aged people as well in the youngsters too. It is very important to predict such kind of disease in the early stages. For this purpose, a variety of test are conducted to diagnose these diseases. Data mining plays a pivotal role in the prediction of different kind of disease with lesser error rate. This study presents the comparative analysis of different data mining classifiers on heart disease dataset taken from UCI machine learning repository. Going through comparative analysis, nine classifiers, NB, LR, RF, Bagging, RT, ANN, J48, KNN, and SVM are evaluated using MAE, RMSE, RAE, and RRSE evaluation measures. Overall results show that NB performs better in compared with the other aforementioned techniques by reducing error rate considerably.
IoT connected smart home automation using Web Application
Farooq Ahmed, Ariba Zahid and Shaista Rasool Department of Electronics, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan
Abstract: Internet of things (IoT) gives an idea of how to remotely control and monitor real world devices. The article describes how to minimize the utilization of energy and make things smart by using Internet of things. For this purpose, all the home appliances are automated to avoid waste of power due to human behaviour. The proposed system in this article is monitored by web application. To keep user aware, logs are created in database and user is notified through a web application. The leverage obtained by this paradigm is that a user can have all previous records from the log of database.
